The Duale Hochschule Sachsen – Staatliche Studienakademie Plauen is one of seven locations of the Duale Hochschule Sachsen (DHSN). It delivers three-year, accredited dual Bachelor programs that alternate compact theory phases on campus with company placements. Study fields in Plauen span Engineering/Technology, Business, and Social & Health—developed together with regional practice partners. Around 350–370 students study here, supported by several hundred cooperating companies and institutions in the Vogtland region. Typical features of the model include a regular study salary and strong employment outcomes.
On 1 January 2025, the former Berufsakademie Sachsen was formally transformed into the Duale Hochschule Sachsen; the seven state study academies—including Plauen—continue under the new structure.
